Pamela Strawgate has been a trainer, coach and consultant in strategic communication and intercultural awareness and skills in her Development & Training Solutions business since 2008. Due to a significant increase in demand in 2020, she started offering DEI training and strategy consulting to clients. 

Her clients appreciate her generous listening, creativity, frankness, engaging enthusiasm and positive attitude, as well as her agility and professionalism. What her clients appreciate perhaps the most is the impact of working with Pamela - easier and more effective communication for better results.

Originally from the US, a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley with a double major in sociology and political science, dual national, Pamela is perfectly bilingual. With more than 30 years on 3 continents, serving large groups such as Sofitel, Sodexho, Hilton, Marriott and the Embassy of the United States in Paris, she has solid experience and a real knowledge of the business world. This has enabled her to skillfully exercise her profession as a trainer and coach specializing in the field of interculturality and communication since 2003.

To excel in her profession, Pamela regularly undergoes training as detailed in “Certifications & Training” in addition to participating in a wide variety of professional webinars from around the world. 

Over 15 years ago, Pamela started by teaching English to executives in companies in the Paris region with The William Penn School. She has always worked with a selection of effective methods and approaches in English communication. She has been a dual certified professional life coach since 2004 after successfully completing a 15-month certifying coach training at the CoachUp Institute in Paris. At the same time, Pamela successfully completed a 3-month coach training with Laura Berman Fortgang and became a certified coach in her “Now What? 90 Days to a New Life Direction” method. In 2006, Pamela passed her certification as an NLP practitioner (neuro linguistic programming). She regularly follows continuous training around the world through WBECS (World Business Executive Coaches Summit) and SIETAR (Society for Intercultural Education, Training and Research) to stay abreast of new developments and trends in the field of training, intercultural news and coaching.

Born in New York and raised in Los Angeles, after graduating UC Berkeley, Pamela came to France to study cooking at the world-renown Le Cordon Bleu cooking school in Paris. In love with this beautiful city, Pamela decided in 1988 to mostly settle here. She worked for almost 20 years in the hotel and international catering industry with major international hotel groups. Specializing in openings and turnarounds, she was sent to companies in difficulty to analyze and then determine the actions to be implemented in order to make the operation profitable. Her success is due to her openness and intercultural competence.

During her career in the hospitality business, Pamela traveled the world and worked in the United States, France, Tahiti and Monaco. She is particularly proud of her work at Sodexho leading a multicultural team of 80 people at the Sydney Olympics in 2000. Thanks to this vast professional experience, Pamela acquired strong intercultural, relational and organizational skills.
